I rest for 12 hours and look at all the sharks and action!
This is a great start off for the BHC, Will thanks for this Tournament.
We're going out today, I'll have a report tonight!

Neosprin will work really good on that hook wound.
It takes most of the pain away in about 30-45 min.

Team Palm Beach Pioneers Mark Resto 5ft 5in blacktip shark~80lb test.
Also 7ft3in bull, doesn't count for tournament.
Keys trip report. LONG POST.

The first night and day out was sharkless, but we managed monster snappers the whole night, I ended up being the only one fishing out in the severe weather for them after a while.

5lb snapper

8lb snapper, my personal best

Woke up to helicopters and much commotion from the seven mile run.

The only shark we saw that day!

TEN-HUT!!!

A refugee drifter boat.

Good woodwork

The total.

When we were leaving we reeled up an amberjack head that was around 15-20lbs and a brown log followed it off the bottom, our assumption was a tarpon just because of its size, it was actually the most incredible cuda i've ever seen. It stuck it's nose in the back of the amberjack head and swam away.   This fish was 6-7ft long and 60-70lbs, no joke, unfortunately we didn't catch it. :(

Because of the sharklessness we ventured about, hungry, fatigued and on the brim of returning home. However we were too hardcore for any of that nonsense and strived on.

We arrived to the beach kayakless, but that doesn't stop us from getting a bait out.

It wasn't long.

Money Shot

I think when I was bringing it in it got into a little quarrel.

5foot 5inch female blacktip shark caught on 80lb test.

Fishing along side us, not in the tournament, but we got good practice from this catch.

7foot 3inch male bull shark caught on 80lb test.

fightinglady08 did a completely IGFA legal fight. Grabbed the rod, put it on her shoulder and did the runningwoman down the street and upon sticking the shark it ran 60 yards before she could sit down. She horsed she shark off the bottom when it got stuck and maneuvered back and forth over the other rods three times to finally beach the shark after a bulldogged 45 minute battle.

Just an average fisherman.

TEAM SHARK FEVER

William Fundora 8 ft 4 inch bridge caught Lemon Shark
Jonathan Polsino 6 ft 11 inch bridge caught Bull Shark

It had been a while since I last fished the Keys bridges but the excitement of our Tournament start date was excuse enough to get started once again. The Team 'Shark Fever' BHC preparation was late but on day 1 of the tournament we were firing on all pistons and ready for battle..Team mate Jonathan Polsino and I wanted to hit the bridges and get an early start on what we consider the toughest most challenging category the 'BRIDGE CHAMPION. Other Teams were making there plans to go north ,,we went SOUTH to the Florida Keys and were rewarded by the shark Gods  The two destinations we would fish provided us the ability to fish Incoming Tide and Outgoing Tide at one bridge and the Outgoing late at the other without having to travel great distances. My instincts were correct in choice of bridges to fish but again on the the two nights we fished we caught a 8ft 4 inch Lemon and a 6 ft 11 inch Bull but we lost two brutish much bigger unseen sharks one to equipment failure and the other malicously exterted it's will on us powerfully swimming off with a 15 pound chunk of Amberjack, ripping lots of drag on a Penn senator with 200 lb test towards the light pole to win the battle,,,,AGAIN as in many other times in the past the MonstEr won.

Jonathan prepares to fish

the sun settles and the view is spectacular

the snapper will eat if served the right pin striped fishy bait

Overall Shots 8 ft 4 in Lemon William Fundora

Tail Shot 8 ft 4 inch bridge caught Lemon Shark

Jonathan Polsino aka 'treehopper' and now aka 'witchamacalit' battles a feisty bull that fought much harder then his almost 7 feet

Overall length shot 6 ft 11 inch

Jonathan Polsino 6 ft 11 inch Bull shark Tail Shot

Incredible bridge shark, but it's not over yet!

Kenny, that was a tragic mishap but it's a great thing that that hook missed your bone.

The safest thing to do in a situation with a dangling trailer hook is to cut your rigging off at a manageable distance, however, another method that can be used is to loop a rope around the hook and keep it as tight as possible and facing forward of the shark and having a second angler come from behind and snip it off. Just remember that safety is always more valuable than that dangerous piece of metal.

Team 'Reel Krazy' on the board today with Angler Belyea 7' 2" lemon shark on 50lb test.

It was hard fishing this weekend and basically couldnt fish at all yesterday so today even though it was rough we went for it. unfortuneatly we were one team mate down because one had to work. but with some great teamwork we got baits out and got this nice shark on the beach. was a great fight and my dad got the hook out extremely easy and the shark was released quickly and swam off great. glad to be on the board and grats to everyone on thier catches!!!!
